Lauman Training, located in the heart of Central Oregon just north of beautiful Prineville, offers a customized training program for each horse and rider. Lauman Training is conveniently located near several cities including Redmond, Bend, Prineville, Madras, Sisters and Terrebone.

We, Rick and Kitty Lauman, own and operate Lauman Training where our motto is "we work with horses, not against them". Having been professional trainers for over ten years we take pride in our work. A wide variety of horses including Quarter Horses, Arabians, Mustangs, Paints, Friesians and Warmbloods have spent time with us, all destined for different futures, but all benefiting from our program which uses communication to create relaxed, happy, willing horses.

We have a soft spot for rescue, troubled or problem cases. We enjoy working with wild horses and in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have helped hundreds find good homes. Whether it's a colt that has never been rode, or a horse that displays problem behavior, we establish basic rules on the ground first. Once under saddle, our horses are exposed to a wide variety of situations. We ride in the arena, out on the rugged, beautiful BLM trails just behind our ranch, and, by special arrangement, take client's horses to shows, team penning... even parades and cattle drives.
