Kitty Lauman
Kitty Lauman started her career as a horse trainer at the tender age of nine, under the guidance of her grandfather, John Sharp. She has competed in rodeo, queen competitions, horse shows and now is a top competitor in the Mounted Shooting, placing Third Over All Lady in the 2008 CMSA World Championship Shoot in Texas! Kitty also competed in the first ever Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge in 2007, coming out Reserve Champion with Ranger, her new mount in the Mounted Shooting. Kitty always dreamed of being a horse trainer so she gets to live her dream everyday!!
Rick Lauman
Rick Lauman is a native Oregonian who, in his more reckless years, rode broncs and bulls on the Northwest Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit. Meeting Kitty, however, was enough of a thrill that he decided he no longer needed to ride roughstock to fulfill his desire for life on the edge. Rick's specialty is starting colts; he's the one who guides the young horses through their first rides in the round pen and out on the trails. Rick has a particular interest in Mounted Action Shooting events, and has won several competitions. He's also a saddlemaker, and several of his saddle projects are part of the working tack in the barn.
Tanner Lauman
Tanner was riding before he was born and he hasn’t stopped!! He is now 6 years old and is having a great time riding all over the county side with his parents! He is also now in first grade in a two room school house just 5 minutes from his home, were he has even been able to ride his horse to school!
Josie Lauman
Josie is just 3 years old but has loved to ride even before she was born and she will still have a fit if we take off or try to leave her home! At the tender age of 2 she would demand to be put on a horse and would have her cap gun in her pocket!!
