We haven't been able to put as much time on Riley as we should have but he is coming along well! He is a good boy and now that he doesn't think he can run away anytime he choses to he has become much nicer to work with! We have him working well off the other horses, flagging and put a horse sheet on him one night and the next his saddle. You can tell by the pictures he was real impressed!!
From the owner: I adopted Juniper from the BLM 4 years ago, as a yearling. She has learned to lead by following other horses, had some flag work done from the ground and she is moving over tarps and tarps moving over her. She has had some trimming on her front feet but very minimal on her backs. She can be a bit forward, head up reactions when left alone or feels pressure, especially around her head. Only trailer loaded a couple of times. We haven't asked her to do a lot! In general she seems a pretty nice horse. My goals would be to have her learn how to deal with being tied, saddled, ponied, responsive to all movements on the line.
Nelly is a beautiful buckskin mare that is extremely pushy! She doesn’t feel that she should have to work at all right now and how dare I ask! She just came in this weekend so I have only worked her for two days now but she is smart enough to have learned what she can get away with! But she is smart enough to learn that it doesn’t work here!
Belle is a very nice, overly loved mare that is a true pet! She isn’t really scared of things but she really isn’t sure she likes being told what to do! We have worked her on flagging off Sage and some of our groundwork to get her to focus on us instead of everything else that seams of interest! The owners have done a lot of work with her and ponying her out so she does like to go and see the country! I think she will make a nice horse with some get up and go but not hot.
