Riley’s introduction

Riley is a 1200 lb mustang that is a sweet guy but has an issue with pressure and has learned he can out run it! We have started working him off horseback so he is learning that he can't run away. He gave Sage a really hard time the first day but Sage was able to hold him so he learned that he couldn't get away! It will still be a long road for him to learn that he can't just leave when the going gets tough! I think that Riley has a lot of potential he just has to learn how to deal with pressure since life is full of it!

Danta has had a hard time getting relaxed with his muzzle but he is starting to accept it! We have worked with Danta on flagging on the ground as well as flagging off horse back. He has some issues to begin with but has done very well. We are now starting to pony him out and tie him at the outside hitching post. There are a lot of scary things around but all in all Danta is coming around well!

We met Beaty 7 years ago when she became one of the first mustangs to be on display at the Bend High Desert Museum in Oregon. We gentled her and a gelding that were played with and showed off to over 30,000 people that year! Many came just to see a real mustang! Beaty then was adopted and continued her training here at Lauman Training until she became a dependable, enjoyable horse! She has since been purchased by a wonderful lady who wanted to make sure she would go to a good home. So she is back with us for a tune up and will probably be offered for sale. She is a fantastic little horse with a huge heart!
